Ohio’s peach crop has been abundant! The peaches are juicy and have a superb taste. In Central Ohio they are picking the last variety of peaches right now, so get them while you can. When I have fresh peaches on hand I make Peach Amaretto Sundaes. Very easy to make and such a grand presentation. [Read more...]

My friend’s son went to Alaska to spend the summer working for his grandmother. When he came back you could see the excitement in his eyes, eager to tell us about his experience. What an adventure! On these hot summer days a cool crisp radish and the high water content in jicama make a wonderful combination. I added some jalapeño for a touch of heat, lots of fresh cilantro and a good squeeze of lime, this makes a thirst quenching salad. Ahhh…refreshing.
